Small Group

Last week our small group leader (Ron Gaff) was out of town, so I got to lead small group.  The guys wanted to go to the nearby Quezon Circle for buko (coconut juice).  So off we went for the juice and we found a table and talked about idolatry and pilgrimage.  One of the guys had a camera lens he was testing out, so we got group shots....

The guys....

Note: that when teaching I am supposed to wear a shirt & tie  OR  a very comfortable barong.  This is not a tough choice.

Buko juice from coconuts they cut right in front of us.  They hack away the bottom so you can set it down, then hack away the sides and top, until they expose the interior "sac" that has a thin membrane with all the juice inside.  They give you a straw and you punch it through, drink all the juice (lots more than I expected), and then each the membrane.  Buko juice is highly touted here for its healthfulness.
